The under 16s skipper is a rising star and a growing leader and will bring all of his talent and skills to our academy team for next season. Academy Lead Jake Wood said “ I’m delighted we have secured Owen’s commitment to our academy program for September. I’ve had discussions with his current manager Matt Clowes and the first team gaffers and I know how highly he is thought of within the club. He’s an extremely talented lad with a good head on his shoulders and with the right guidance will go far in the game. He has been in and around first team training for the last few months and that experience will stand him in good stead for the challenges that lie ahead” Benfica coach Paulo Filipe said “ Having worked closely with Owen I can see the potential he has to grow. He is a natural leader and has all the right attributes to succeed and will go on to achieve great things with us”
